The benefits of working at Wrigley

The Wrigley Company operates in over 150 countries world wide, but apart from a rewarding career with global opportunities, there are many other benefits to working at Wrigley, including:

Medical Insurance: Most associates are given private comprehensive health insurance, over and above their salary, and all others have the opportunity to take up fully comprehensive health insurance as part of their salary packaging options.

Bonuses: All associates participate in a performance based bonus scheme in addition to your salary

Superannuation: In Australia Wrigley Associates participate in an accumulation superannuation fund in which the company contributes an amount which is legislatively set at 9% of salary.

Associates may make additional voluntary contributions into the fund.

In New Zealand there is no legislative requirement for the company to make superannuation contributions, but the company nevertheless contributes 5% of base salary, then matches dollar for dollar associate voluntary contributions up to a further 5% of base salary.

Through the superannuation fund all associates receive basic insurance against death or total and permanent disability. You may choose to take out additional insurance.

Stock Dividend and reinvestment plan: Associates have the opportunity to purchase Wrigley Common Stock through the convenience of a payroll deduction without paying a brokers fee or service charge.

Education: Wrigley has a philosophy of life long learning. In addition to in-house courses for personal and career development, associates can be sponsored through other job related or career development courses.

Entertainment offers: On behalf of associates and their families, Wrigley purchases the local Entertainment Books in New Zealand. In Australia Wrigley subscribes to API which offers discounts on Leisure and Lifestyle activities, such as consumer goods, tickets, travel and accommodation.

Wrigleybucks: We like to publicly recognise our associates who go 'above and beyond the call of duty'. Associates who make the extra effort are rewarded through our internal 'Wrigleybucks' scheme.

Work/life balance: Wrigley is a family owned company, and we know only too well how challenging it can be to juggle the demands of a family and work. The company has a number of policies to assist associates to achieve this balance, including the following (where appropriate for the job):
Working from home:
associates for whom this option is applicable can be provided with a laptop to permit occasional work from home.
Flexible working hours: where appropriate office based associates can work flexible hours to enable working parents or carers meet their family obligations
Holidays: Associates are given the statutory 4 weeks annual leave, plus public holidays. Long service leave is available after qualifying periods. In Australia as well as the annual Christmas party, Wrigley associates are given an additional day of annual leave with the date set at the company's discretion, usually around Christmas time.
Other leave: In addition to sick leave, Wrigley offers special leave for use in extreme cases.
Employee Assistance Program: The Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is designed to help associates and their family members affected by personal or family problems obtain the best assistance available. The program provides short term counselling, assessment, and referral services at no cost to associates.
Wellness programs: Wrigley values having a healthy workforce and so part subsidizes selected wellness initiatives. These currently include Smoke Enders and Weight Watchers.
